The American Chesterfield, or Way to Wealth, Honour, and Distinction; Being Selected From the Letters of Lord Chesterfield to His Son; and Extracts From Other Eminent Authors, on the Subject of Politeness: With Alterations and Additions, Suited to the Youth of the United States. This book has an embedded stamp of the publisher, and decoration around the border of the front and rear cover. The title, which is printed on the spine, is in gold gilt lettering. There is a small amount of bending, and slight tearing on the corners and spine, not to mention some staining on the rear cover, and fading of the spine. Finally, the book does have some foxing to the interior pages, and discoloration of the fore edges.
